A brief History

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University was established on November 29, 1965. At the beginning of its establishment, it only had one study program, namely the Corporate Economics Study Program. During leadership Drs. Hariri Hadi as the first Dean (1965-1968) efforts to improve began, both in the field of organization, teaching staff, administrative staff and especially in the field of facilities and infrastructure. The status of the Company Economics Study Program was upgraded to “Recognized” through Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 51/1966 dated 14 July 1966.

During the leadership periode Mulyatno Sindhudarmoko, SE (1968-1978) opened the Accounting Study Program. In addition to improvements in the field of Education and Teaching, Research and Community Service received serious attention with the signing of the collaboration of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University with several Departments and the Regional Government of DKI to carry out Applied Research activities and Community Service activities.

Under leadership Drs. Saroso, Ak. (1978-1986) The Semester Credit Unit Education System began to be implemented referring to the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0124/U/1979 dated 8 June 1979 and No. 0211/U/1982 dated June 6, 1982. Development from a study program point of view was seen by the opening of the Economics and Development Studies Study Program in 1985. The Management Study Program was upgraded to “Recognized” with Ministerial Decree P and K, No. 0267/O/1981 and became “Equated” by Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 413/O/1985 dated October 1, 1985. The Accounting Study Program was upgraded to “Recognized” based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0334/ 0 /1985 dated 27 July 1985.

During the leadership period Drs. Sudarno Sastrosubando (1986-1989) the status of the Study Program in Economics and Development Studies was upgraded from an operational license to “Registered” with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number: 0213/O/1987 dated 11 April 1987 and “Recognized” by Decree Number: 023/O/1989 dated 27 April 1989. In addition, the status of the Accounting Study Program became “Equated” through Decree No. 023/O/1989 dated 27 April 1989.

Drs. Yuswar Zainul Basri, Ak.served as Dean in 2 (two) leadership periods (1989-1995). In this period two programs were introduced to reduce the number of dropouts and to improve the quality of graduates, namely the Tutoring Program to reduce the number of dropouts and the Improvement Semester program to help improve the quality of graduates. Status of Economics and Development Studies Study Program “Equated” by Decree No. 494/DIKTI/KEP/1993, dated 16 August 1993, while the Study Program Management and Accounting Reassigned Status “Equated” by Decree No. 098/DIKTI/KEP/1994, April 9, 1994.

Dr. Chairuman Armia, MA, who was entrusted to be the head of the Faculty of Economics and Business in the period 1995 – 2001 had one mission to bring the Faculty of Economics and Business to Trisakti University Known in the world of international education. During this period, the collaboration with Edith Cowan University in Australia was opened as an initial pilot for a double degree program. It was also during this period that the three study programs within the Faculty of Economics and Business obtained Accreditation A status.

In the period 2002 – 2011, the Faculty of Economics and Business at Trisakti University was led by Prof. Dr. Hj. Farida Jasfar, ME, PhD. During this period, the School of Economics and Business has opened an Excellence class program, expanding the collaboration for dual degree programs with Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and the University of Missouri St. Louis (MLS). In addition, several study programs have been opened, such as: Masters and Doctoral Programs in Economics with a concentration in Islamic Economics and Finance (2002), Masters Management Hospitality Management concentration (2004), Master of Economics (2005), Accounting Education Program (PPAk) in 2006. Applied Undergraduate Study Program (D4) Finance was established in 2008. D3 program from three study programs, namely D3 Public Sector Accounting, D3 Finance and Sharia Banking, and D3 Service Management (2008), as well as the Doctoral Program in Accounting (2010). In addition, during this period there was also a change in the curriculum to 144 credits for the three Study Programs. In this period, re-accreditation was carried out 2 times for the three Study Programs, namely the period 1999 – 2004, and the period 2004 – 2010, where as a result the three Study Programs were still able to maintain accreditation status A.

In September 2012, the 2011-2012 period, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University, was led by Prof. Dr. Sofyan S. Harahap (Alm.), and continued by Prof. Dr. A.S. H. Yuswar Z. Basri, Ac, MBAas Acting Dean until May 2012. In June 2012, the period of the 2012/2013 academic year to the 2019/2020 academic year of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University was led by Prof. Dr. Bambang Soedaryono, And, MBA, CA, CPA, over a period of time leadership he 6 Study Programs Within the Faculty of Economics and Business received Accreditation A. In this period the KKNI-based curriculum also began to be implemented, online learning through the Febiola Platform (Faculty of Economics and Business Usakti Online Learning). FEB is also a member of the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Apart from that, in his leadership he also received ISO 9001: 2015 international certification, SINTA accreditation for published journals in scope FEB.

In January 2020 the FEB leadership was replaced by Dr. Yolanda Masnita Siagian, MM for the period 2020 – 2025. At the beginning of his leadership period, FEB Trisakti University received QS Stars 3 Certification. In addition, in order to strengthen the implementation of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) curriculum, an output-based educational process approach policy was formulated (Outcome-based Education/OBE). In order to respond to industrial needs and developments in environmental conditions, a policy was formulated to implement the Merdeka Learning – Merdeka Campus curriculum, and carry out the process of teaching and learning activities in an integrated manner. on online from the even semester of 2019/2020 to the odd semester of 2021/2022.
